Sloppy Joe’s

A classic and comforting dish that's perfect for a hearty and satisfying meal. Begin with 2 pounds of your choice of ground meat, whether it's beef, turkey, chicken, or a combination of your favorites. To sneak in some extra veggies, add a cup of frozen riced cauliflower for added nutrition.

Enhance the flavor and texture with chopped onions and, optionally, green bell peppers. Then, create the signature Sloppy Joe's sauce by combining tomato paste, yellow mustard, coconut aminos, chili powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

Once it's all simmered together, you'll have a savory and slightly tangy mixture that's perfect for piling onto your choice of buns or bread. Enjoy the hearty goodness of our Sloppy Joe's for a classic and satisfying meal!

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 lbs ground meat (beef, turkey, chicken, or a combo)

  • 1 c frozen riced cauli (love a sneaky veggie)

  • ½ onion, chopped

  • 1 - 6 oz can tomato paste

  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped (optional)

  • 2 T yellow mustard

  • 2 T coconut aminos

  • 1 Tbsp chili powder

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ½ tsp pepper

    STEPS

  1. In a skillet over medium heat brown the onion, and brown meat

  2. Add frozen riced cauliflower and stir until cooked.

  3. Add other ingredients and cook for 5 more min.

Notes: Also yummy with spaghetti squash, canned hearts of palm noodles, or your favorite bun, wrap, or potato for your carb/starch. This is always an easy crowd-pleaser and I make it all the time and omit the onion, pepper, and cauliflower when I’m low on groceries.
