Protein Toast

A simple and nutritious way to start your day with a burst of flavor and energy. Begin with your choice of bread, such as Ezekiel, and toast it to perfection. Spread a generous layer of cottage cheese or Greek yogurt on top, adding a creamy and protein-rich base to your toast.

Next, sprinkle on a handful of frozen wild blueberries for a delightful burst of sweetness and antioxidants. Drizzle it with your favorite nut butter, whether it's almond, peanut, or any variety you prefer.

Finally, top it all off with a sprinkle of cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice for an extra dash of warmth and flavor. It's a quick and delicious protein-packed breakfast that's perfect for busy mornings. Enjoy your Protein Toast and kickstart your day with a tasty boost!

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 slice of bread, my go-to is Ezekiel

  • 1/2 c cottage cheese or Greek yogurt

  • 1/4 c frozen wild blueberries

  • 2 T nut butter

  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice

    STEPS

  1. Toast your bread in the toaster. While toasting, microwave frozen blueberries for 1 minute. Put yogurt or cottage cheese on toast. Top with heated berries, spices, and nut butter.

If dairy-free, add 1-2 scoops of collagen or any protein powder to coconut or a plant-based yogurt. These yogurts aren’t a protein source. Also, shoot for 5g of sugar or less when shopping for yogurts to keep blood sugar balanced.
