Love this one! Okay, if you’re like me and grew up in the 80s-90s like me, I highly recommend buying blueberry extract (got on Amazon) for a strawberry shortcake doll nostalgic smell. It’s so fun!
INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk (or desired milk)
- 1/4 cup cottage cheese (can omit for DF but will have to re-spin more than once for creamier texture)
- 1 serving vanilla protein powder
- 1 serving collagen powder
- 1 tsp butter, vanilla, or blueberry extract
- 1/2 tsp salt or salted caramel salt from Walmart (Bettergoods brand)
- 1 T monk fruit or desired sweetener, optional
- 1/3 c frozen or fresh strawberries, cut in half
- 1-2 oz more milk or half and half during “Re-Spin”
STEPS
- Prep Instructions:
-
-
Add and mix all of your ingredients together inside your Creami container (adding strawberries last) and froth well to combine OR blend in your blender, then pour into creami container. You can add strawberries after frothing too, either way
-
Let your container rest uncovered for 5-10 minutes
-
Cover and freeze overnight or until frozen. Usually takes the 24 hours
-
- Ninja Creami Instructions:
-
-
Remove your frozen Creami container from the freezer and let it unthaw for 10 minutes or run the sides under some hot water for 1 minute.
-
Place it into your Creami and hit the “Lite Ice Cream” button or “Ice Cream button” if you plan to use mix ins.
-
Add in 1-2 Ounces of Milk/Milk Substitute or half and half for extra creamy texture and hit the "Re-Spin" button. You may need to do this twice until desired consistency is achieved or not at all. I did “Re-Spin” twice in this one.
-
(Optional) If using mix in toppings, dig a hole in the center and pour in sprinkles, chocolate chips, drizzilicious rice cakes, cookies, protein bar pieces, granola, fruit, cereal, etc. Use the “Mix-In” button to blend in and enjoy!
