High Protein Pumpkin Maple Ninja Creami

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk (or desired milk)
  • 1/4 cup cottage cheese (can omit for DF but will have to re-spin more than once for creamier texture)
  • 2 T canned pumpkin puree
  • 1 serving The Peachie Spoon Vanilla Protein Powder
  • 1 serving The Peachie Spoon Collagen Powder
  • 1 tsp maple extract
  • 1/2 tsp salt or salted caramel salt from Walmart (bettergoods brand)
  • 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 T monk fruit or desired sweetener, optional

1-2 oz more milk or half and half during “Re-Spin”

STEPS

Prep Instructions:

    1. Add and mix all of your ingredients together inside your Creami container and froth well to combine OR blend in your blender, then pour into creami container.

    2. Let your container rest uncovered for 5-10 minutes

    3. Cover and freeze overnight or until frozen. Usually takes the 24 hours

Ninja Creami Instructions:

  • Remove your frozen Creami container from the freezer and let it unthaw for 10 minutes or run the sides under some hot water for 1 minute.
  • Place it into your Creami and hit the “Lite Ice Cream” button or “Ice Cream button” if you plan to use mix ins
  • Add in 1-2 Ounces of Milk/Milk Substitute or half and half for extra creamy texture and hit the "Re-Spin" button. You may need to do this twice until desired consistency is achieved or not at all. I Re-Spun 2x with this one.
  • (optional) If using mix in toppings, dig a hole in the center and pour in sprinkles, chocolate chips, drizzilicious rice cakes, cookies, protein bar pieces, granola, fruit, cereal, etc. I use Catalina crunch cinnamon toast cereal or granola in this one usually. Use the “Mix-In” button to blend in and enjoy!

Have you ever added psyllium husk to these? Curious if it would ruin the texture but I would love to get the fiber in!

That was one thing I tried and felt like I could taste it more than in a smoothie or cauli bowl. I think bc this is smaller maybe? Def could try. May need more milk
