Easy Pizzas

This is a super quick and customizable way to enjoy the classic flavors of pizza with minimal effort. Start with 1-2 packages of round pita bread or rectangular lavish, providing a versatile and convenient base for your pizzas.

Spread a jar of pizza sauce evenly over the pita bread or lavish, creating a flavorful foundation for your toppings. Choose from a variety of proteins such as a 12 oz package of chicken sausage, rotisserie chicken, or any leftover protein you have on hand. Spread the protein evenly over the sauced surface.

Add your desired cheese and toppings to customize each pizza according to your taste preferences. Whether it's mozzarella, cheddar, veggies, or more, let your creativity shine. Bake the pizzas in the oven until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the edges of the pita bread or lavish are golden brown.

Slice and serve these Easy Pizzas as a fuss-free and delicious meal, perfect for a casual dinner or a quick snack. Enjoy the simplicity and versatility of making your own personalized pizzas at home!

INGREDIENTS

  • 1-2 6 ct packages of round pita bread or the rectangle lavish

  • 1 jar pizza sauce

  • 1 12 oz package of chicken sausage, rotisserie chicken, or leftover protein

  • Desired cheese

  • Desired toppings

    STEPS

  • Place pitas on a lined baking sheet and bake at 400° for 2 minutes on each side. Remove and add desired sauce, cheese, veggies, and protein. Bake for 5 minutes or until melted. Switch to broil on high and broil 1-2 minutes to brown the top. Watch closely because it’ll burn quickly.

    Flavor Swaps:

  • Pizza sauce, Feta, Spinach, Chicken sausage

  • BBQ sauce, Mozzarella, Caramelized onion, leftover BBQ pork, chicken, or turkey pepperoni

  • Pesto, Parmesan, Rotisserie chicken, Spinach, Caramelized shallot

  • Pizza sauce, Burrata, Peach, Spinach, Rotisserie chicken, Balsamic drizzle

  • Pizza sauce, Mexican blend cheese, Red onion, Leftover taco meat, Cilantro to top

Notes: Such an easy dinner to repurpose leftover meat and the kids can make their own. If using the rounds, I usually eat 1 1/2- 2 pitas pizzas as a serving because they’re a lower-carb pita. Joseph’s is the brand I buy at Walmart and Publix.
