INGREDIENTS
-
1 c buttermilk (any milk can work)
-
1 packet ranch seasoning
-
1 c cottage cheese
-
1 ripe avocado
-
1/4 c fresh cilantro
-
2 T lime juice
-
1 tsp lime zest (I threw a whole piece in)
-
1 tsp chili powder
-
1/2 tsp cumin
-
Water to thin, as needed (used about 1/4 c while blending)
STEPS
-
Combine all ingredients in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth. Store in the fridge for up to 3 days if not using for this salad. Makes 2 1/2 cups of dressing and 10 - 1/4 c servings.
My fave ways to use it:
- Serve over your favorite salad. It’s so good on a taco salad and with bbq meats.
- Use to dress a pasta salad.
- Use as a condiment for taco night, with a wrap, or sandwich at lunch. Serve as a dip with tortilla chips, potato chips, or fries.
- Use over a stuffed with protein baked potato.

Just made this with the BLT pasta salad. It’s yummy! Think it would freeze ok?

Yes but maybe skip the lettuce and add when eating
I want to make my own seasoning instead of using store bought. Should I still add buttermilk powder or leave it out since I am using fresh buttermilk on your recipe?
Thank you!

I think it would work either way!
