
INGREDIENTS
- 1 lb lean ground beef (used 96% lean from TJs) ground turkey or chicken works too
- 1/2 tsp salt and pepper
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 white onion, diced small
- Desired toppings:
- 1/2 c shredded cheddar cheese or classic American slices
- Shredded iceberg lettuce
- Dill Pickles
- Onion, diced small
- Ketchup
- Yellow mustard
- Burger Sauce:
- 1/3 cup nonfat Greek yogurt
- 1 T yellow mustard
- 2 T pickle juice or white vinegar
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
STEPS
- Place beef, onion, and spices in a bowl and use your hands to combine.
- Break into 2 equal parts and flatten into a pizza shape as flat as possible on a parchment-lined sheet pan. (Makes 2 pizzas)
- Bake at 400° in the oven for 25-30 min or 400° in the air fryer for 10-15 min. Make sure it’s cooked through with a meat thermometer. Drain off any fat if there is any.
- Turn up oven temp to 425° and add American or cheddar cheese to each pizza. Cook another 5 min or so until melty and done. You can also broil on low for a few minutes if you want it more “burned melty”.
- Add other burger pizza toppings and enjoy! Ketchup, mustard, and/or burger sauce, shredded lettuce, pickles, and chopped raw onion are faves.
